AI Observer is an independent English-language news site about AI tools, the agencies that build with them and the people behind both. We write for people on small and mid-size teams who use AI at work: founders, operations leads, designers, marketers and developers.

Our readers want to know what a tool does, what it costs, what can go wrong and what to do next. That is the test every story has to pass. We leave out hype, and we link the evidence so you can check it yourself.

What we cover

We publish news every weekday across eight topics:

What we publish

Most of what we publish is news: something that happened, with a date and a source. Around it we publish explainers on how things work, guides with practical advice, and analysis that is clearly marked as our reading of events. Opinion pieces always carry the author’s name.

We also publish step-by-step tutorials, interviews with people who build and buy AI tools, and profiles and rankings of AI agencies. We plan to run an awards program, and we will not name winners or nominees until it has a jury and published criteria.

How we work

Our editorial team uses AI tools to research, draft and illustrate stories. We say this plainly because it affects how you should read us, and because we cover these same tools.

Clear rules keep the work honest. Every story links its primary sources, such as a company statement, a filing, a research paper or an official document. When we cannot confirm a claim, we say so in the text. Images on our stories are AI-generated and labeled as such. Each weekday we review the stories we have published, and when we get something wrong, we correct it at the top of the article with the date.

The full rules are in our editorial policy. How we fix mistakes is on our corrections page.

Independence

AI Observer is privately owned. No advertiser, agency or AI company decides what we cover or what we say about it. Agencies cannot pay to change their position in our rankings, and any paid listing is labeled next to the entry.

Our owners may run businesses that work with AI. We do not rank agencies they have a stake in, and when one of their businesses is mentioned in a story, we state the connection in that story.

Our newsletter

Once a week we send one email with the week’s most useful AI news (three to five stories), one tutorial and one interview. You can sign up with the subscribe button at the top of any page and unsubscribe from any issue.
